New executive chef at Meridien

Laurent Vandenameele heads the team

Meridien Beach Plaza has a new executive chef, leading the teams of the hotel's 2 restaurants and banqueting service.

Laurent Vandenameele was born in France and trained in Armentieres. He's worked at Michelin starred restaurants L'Huitriere in Lille, La Grenouillere on the Cote d'Opale and the Lingousto in Cuers in Provence. His international experience includes a stint at the Dubai Meridien Hotel, followed by the Meridien Budapest, where he's worked for the past 13 years.

A proponent of authentic French cuisine, Vandenameele takes responsibilty for L'Intempo and Muse restaurants supervised by chef Jimmy Desrivieres, and the gala dinners and marriage banquets service led by chef Louis Aquilina.
