What's new

It's a short newsletter this week, as, like many of you, we are slowing down for the month of August.

The second half of the programme for Monaco Open Air Cinema has been released, with a couple of movies we plan to see. Emma Thompson stars in Late Night, a comedy about a talk show host who worries she might lose her job. It scores a reasonably healthy 71/100 with the professional critics on IMDb. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is an adventure film for families, based on the TV series Dora the Explorer. The lead is played by Isabel Moner, who looks like a real life version of Scooby Doo's Velma, but without the spectacles and wearing shorts. It's not on general release yet, but the trailer has some funny scenes.

Finally, the French Ligue 1 football season starts for Monaco on 9 August, with a home game against Lyon. The derby matches against Nice are 25 September at Stade Louis II and 7 March 2020 at Allianz Riviera Stadium. Paris Saint-Germain visit the Principality on 30 November and play host to the Reds and Whites on 11 January 2020.
