What's new

With the "rentree scolaire" just a week away, Stars n Bars, Click Monaco and the Enfants de Frankie association are collecting good quality used or new school bags and back-packs. The donations are to be distributed to disadvantaged school children throughout the region.

Joseph Monaco is undergoing a transformation. The quayside restaurant was closed earlier this week for work, and its facebook page reports that it will reopen with new interior design and menu. Chef Akhara Chay also announced on facebook that he is moving on to a new challenge.

The Versailles Hotel in Condamine looks set to close following an announcement that shareholders have agreed to liquidate the parent company. As yet there's no news on the future of the Abbondanza da Francesco restaurant that occupies the ground floor of the building.

And finally, we're pleased to announce that local artist Olivia Brazier is holding an exhibition tomorrow evening. Entitled Colourflux, the event takes place in Rudolf Nureyev's old house in La Turbie. Although the location is a little further than our normal Monaco range, it's easy to reach if you have transport.
