What's new

Congratulations to Italian Alberto Nose, who last weekend collected 30,000 euros and several concert engagements after winning the final of the Monte Carlo Piano Masters. Congratulations also go to Monegasque Lisa Caussin-Battaglia, who's making a name for herself in the world of competitive jetskiing. In July she took second place in the FreeGun Jetcross World Cup, held in Doncaster in the UK.

This weekend Monaco plays host to several world class paddle tennis players who are participating in the Monte Carlo Padel Masters. Two courts have been specially constructed at the Fontvieille circus tent, for demonstrations, practice and competitive matches, which started on Tuesday and end on Sunday.

Finally, there are some beautiful vessels moored up in the Principality this weekend for Monaco Classic Week. There's plenty to see around the port, as the biennial event celebrates the "art de vivre la mer", with regattas, style competitions, cocktails and parties.
