What's new

Stars n Bars has launched an eco-challenge for those who want to save the world and grab 5 minutes of fame. The idea works on the same basis as the Ice Bucket Challenge. You film yourself committing to an eco-friendly action, post it on social media, then tag five people, organizations or companies to do the same thing. Don't forget to tag your efforts with #OnSengageEtVous?, #Ecohub, and #IPledgeAndYou, and check out Stars n Bars own film here: Stars n Bars Monaco YouTube.

Meanwhile, Brasserie de Monaco announced it's phasing out plastic straws and replacing them with ones made from icing sugar. Let's hope there's no sweet taste to interfere with the beer.

And finally, as we mentioned last week, the Grimald Forum's summer exhibition is now open. We were invited to a sneak preview last Friday and can guarantee the quality of the bling. Now, if only Monaco Open Air Cinema would screen The Mummy (1999)....

(1) This week's quote refers to the search for new movie stars, and is by American film producer and co-founder of MGM Studios, Louis B Mayer, born this day 1884.
