Places to go in Monaco and Monte Carlo

Delivered to your email box first thing on Thursday morning.

October 13th Newsletter

...she has no right to be intelligent, daring and independent, as well as lovely (1)

We've got a short newsletter today as we're out and about visiting new places. And if you're out and about yourself, maybe sitting in a queue hoping to buy a few litres of petrol (or gasoline for our American readers), don't forget that bus travel within Monaco is free over the next few weeks.

Traffic was in the news after we went to press last week. Cap d'Ail's mayor Xavier Beck and Christian Estrosi are at loggerheads about how to ease the regular snarl ups in and out of Monaco. Watch this space.

SBM Monte Carlo is preparing yet another swanky meal, this time at Pavyllon restaurant in the Hermitage. Resident chef Yannick Alleno and Bruno Verjus of the 2-starred Table are working on a set menu for dinner on Saturday. Price 650 euros incl. drinks, +377 98 06 36 36 or +377 98 06 88 64.

And finally...

Congratulations to Brigitte Boccone-Pages, the first female president of Monaco's Conseil National.

What's in the diary...

Thursday: Basketball.
Friday: Last chance for Berard expo.
Saturday: Bunches of bouquets.
Sunday: Opera concert.
