What's new
There's a distinct increase in the number of visitors wandering around Monaco at the moment and this week I've had to explain to two groups how to get to the Casino. No doubt the influx is due to the Carnaval de Nice and the Menton Fete du Citron, both of which start on Saturday.
The Fairmont Monte Carlo is holding a recruitment day tomorrow, from 9:00 to 18:00. Those wishing to be considered for seasonal work this year should turn up with their CV and motivation letter.
And finally, Sunday is an important day for Monaco's Winter Olympics hopes, when Boris Vain and Rudy Rinaldi compete in the two-man bobsleigh. Prince Albert, who represented the Principality in the same discipline, is providing commentary on the event for France 2. The delegation also includes two Alpine skiers, Olivier Jeunot and Alexandra Coletti. Daghe munegu!
