What's new

Tomorrow is St Patrick's Day, celebrated by Irish all over the world and especially in Monaco. Some events have been delayed until next week, but you can count on favourite expat haunts Slammers and McCarthy's to be partying hard on the day.

Friday is also the start of annual music festival the Printemps des Arts. Organizers have put together a program that promotes the music of French Romantic composer Hector Berlioz, as well as Renaissance music and works written for the piano. Concerts take place over four weekends, ending on 8 April.

Gourmet Condamine market stall RICE by Xavier Mathieu (see 1 Dec 2016 newsletter) has launched a new Thursday evening deal. It's called 'jeudi soir des copins' and is a 2-for-1 offer. Several food outlets are located in the indoor market, where you can grab something to eat in the early evening, before most restaurants open.

Art lovers' support is needed for local artist Olivia Brazier. She is displaying a number of paintings next week in the Novotel bar under the title 'Tickle Me Pink'.

Finally, a big 'thank you' to Bradley Mitton of Club Vivanova for an excellent evening at last Saturday's Luxury Lifestyle Gala. If you missed it, there are lots more opportunities to get to know the Club and its members, including this evening (see what's in the diary).

What's in the diary ....

Thursday: Vivanova tasting.
Friday: Urbano lunch.
Saturday: Rose Ball.
Sunday: musical mystery tour.

Coming up next week, French view of art, French gastronomy, and French humour.

For lots more suggestions, visit maBoum's 7 day listing and enjoy your weekend.
(1) This week's quote is a reference to American actor and comedian Jerry Lewis, born this day 1926.
