What's new

There was good news for Monaco basketball's Roca team this week. Its promotion has been ratified and the club can now compete in the French Pro B division. Football players and fans were also celebrating, after the Reds and Whites won their first match in the UEFA Champions League competition.

Over the weekend, leave the car in the garage and get on your bike. Monaco is marking European Mobility Week with opportunities to test electric vehicles, free bus travel, and traffic free Sunday cycling.

Next week Monaco Yacht Show begins, and by the time it's over, we're nearly into October, when the Principality celebrates Italian culture and language. The launch includes an art installation that also promotes YA!, the first yachting and art event organized by the Yacht Club.

Finally, Monte Carlo SBM is organizing the Monte Carlo Jazz Festival in November, with performances by Dee Dee Bridgewater and Chris Rea amongst many others.

What's in the diary ....

Thursday: Outward Bound Monaco party.
Friday: LIM Ladies Bike Show.
Saturday: Italian street market.
Sunday: Beethoven opens classical season.

Coming up next week, Japanese night and Japanese art.

For lots more suggestions, visit maBoum's 7 day listing and enjoy your weekend.
