What's new

Top Chef, France's reality TV competition for professional chefs returned to the screens yesterday. It's 11th season features 14 competitors, one of whom is based in Monaco: Jean-Philippe Berens, sous-chef de cuisine at The Grill. As of writing, we don't know if Jean-Philippe has made it through to next week.

The Grill is of course the restaurant with a view at the top of the Hotel de Paris, which has just been classed as five-star in Forbes Travel Guide. It's a reward that recognizes the hotel renovations which were completed last year, and sets the hotel apart as the only establishment on the Cote d'Azur to receive the accolade this year. Check out other winners from around the world at the website: Forbes Travel Guide.

And finally, a new drama group has been formed in Monaco and has just held its first AGM. We're waiting to hear from the company and will post more information when we have it.

What's in the diary ....

Thursday: CGI remake: The Call of the Wild.
Friday: Saint Gall, Irish treasure.
Saturday: Artistic theatre lighting.
Sunday: Operatic Street Scene.
