I am about to become a genius! (1)

No prizes for guessing what's happening this weekend. Yes, it's Monaco Grand Prix and just in time, the Government announced that restaurants can now offer dinner service to workers and their family members. Good news for bars and cafes too, which can serve drinks and snacks in the afternoon until 19h.

SBM restaurants have special GP menus available: today from 90 euros pp, Friday a la carte, Saturday from 120 euros pp, and Sunday from 290 euros pp. Reserve your table at ticketoffice[at]sbm.mc or +377 98 06 36 36.

If you're still looking for somewhere to watch the action, Club Vivanova has prices for balconies in the Fairmont for up to seven people on each of the three days.

And if motor sport isn't your thing, we have some suggestions in the diary below for escaping the hoo-ha.

In Brief

The National Museum (NMNM) children's workshops are starting up again on Wednesday afternoons during school holidays. Ages 8-12, from 14h to 15h30, 15 euros per workshop.

The old library premises on boulevard Princesse Charlotte are being transformed into a multi-purpose meeting place, housing the Temps de Vivre club as well as a cafe, games area and lecture room.

Stade Nautique swimming pool is open from Monday 25 May, and all being well will welcome bathers until 10 Oct.

The cinema reopens 2 Jun and expects to screen films outdoors on the Rock from 20 Jun.

And finally...

Curfew now starts at 22h, theatres and casinos can stay open until 23h, masks no longer needed on the beach, but physical distancing still applies, and no more than six in a group. Next Covid review is expected 30 May. Enjoy!

What's in the diary...
