What's new

Next Monday (26 June) photo-journalist Nick Danziger is holding an auction at Thirty Nine, the fitness club on avenue Princesse Grace. The sale is raising funds to cover publishing expenses for a new book that he's putting together with Rory MacLean, entitled Another Life. It will examine how we are failing the world's poor, and continues Nick's work following the lives of individuals and families in relation to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

The auction is from 19:00 to 22:00 and entry costs 30 euros, which can be paid on the door. Lots include a selection of pictures that Nick has taken behind the scenes with the All Blacks. There's also an opportunity to bid for a 1-day photography workshop and a half-day "in the life of" photo shoot.

You can buy tickets in advance from WeezEvent, and if you can't make the evening but would like to contribute to the fundraising, you can donate through the crowd-funding publisher Unbound.

Finally, note that La Vigie restaurant opens for the summer tomorrow evening. Located at Monte Carlo Beach Hotel, it serves dinner only, every day except Mondays, until 3 September. Phone +377 98 06 52 52 for reservations.
