What's new

Congratulations to Novak Djokovic who won the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters last Sunday, but commiserations to Monaco FC whose 0-0 draw against Juventus yesterday evening wasn't enough to take them through to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. Our next major sporting event is the Monaco F1 Grand Prix, and we're feverishly working on our party guide, which features guest spots at Jimmy'z by Mark Ronson and Fatboy Slim.

School children will be skipping home tomorrow as their 2-week spring term break begins. There's no rest for the workers tho', as participants of the Jeune Chambre Economique's start-up weekend are finding out. The young entrepreneurs aim to get one or more new business ideas off the ground by Sunday evening.

And finally, yesterday we found out that electronic pop music pioneers Kraftwerk are performing in Monaco in November, as part of their Tour de France tour. As of writing, details are yet to be released.

What's in the diary ....

Thursday: Vivanova @ La Maree.
Friday: Skeleton in the library.
Saturday: Basketball.
Sunday: Shostakovich's Lady Macbeth.

Coming up next week, postponed peregrination presentation, poker, and poetry.

For lots more suggestions, visit maBoum's 7 day listing and enjoy your weekend.
(1) This week's quote is a line from Act 3 Scene 1 of Shakespeare's play, Henry V, and reminds us that today we celebrate Saint George, the patron saint of England.
