What's new

Monaco celebrates Sainte Devote this weekend, with boat burning and fireworks on Saturday evening, and a mass in the cathedral on Sunday morning. Best to avoid the area around Sainte Devote Church for a couple of hours from 17:30 on Saturday. The railway station entrance will be closed, security officers will be checking bags. and there are likely to be traffic delays.

We don't often feature events in the newsletter that are taking place more than a couple of weeks in the future, and on the website we restrict our listing to the current week. But we couldn't resist sharing with you this Club Vivanova promotional video, which looks ahead to its Luxury Lifestyle Gala on 6 April. The 2017 and 2018 events were super swanky affairs, and we should know, since we were there.

And finally, congratulations to Le Grill at Hotel de Paris, which has been awarded a Michelin star, and to the Mirazur in Menton, which has increased it's lustre with a third one. Otherwise, Monaco's gastronomic landscape remains the same as 2018.

What's in the diary ....

Thursday: Vivanova validates vermouth.
Friday: Mediatheque music: Julien Pras.
Saturday: BAM Burns banquet and ball.
Sunday: Falstaff comic opera.

Coming up next week: discover Louis Bleriot, departure of Historic Rally, and last chance to see Les Pecheuses.

For lots more suggestions, visit maBoum's 7 day listing and enjoy your weekend.
