What's new

This week we heard that Prince Albert is marking the 10th anniversary of his reign on 12th July with a concert in front of the palace. Robbie Williams is headlining the celebratory show, which will be free for Monegasques and residents.

Prince Albert is passionate about the environment and recently announced that in 2016 Monaco will ban the sale and distribution of single use plastic bags. This is the first of several legislative measures aimed at reducing the amount of disposable plastic that litters the region and pollutes the Mediterranean Sea.

Printemps des Arts festival continues this weekend, with two concerts featuring music by Bach, composed for psalms and for students. In addition, Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday, heralding religious observances and chocolate themed events.

Finally, don't forget to turn your clocks forward before you go to sleep on Saturday. We may be losing an hour, but spring has arrived and next week we can look forward to lighter evenings.

What's in the diary ....

Thursday: BBQ party.
Friday: Combine a taste for wine and art.
Saturday: All about that bass.
Sunday: Cycling through the night.

Coming up next week, EVER Monaco, culture in Monaco, and French humour.
