What's new

European football officials are in town to draw the names of teams playing in group stages for two UEFA competitions. Taking place in the Grimaldi Forum, tonight's invitation only event reveals details of the Champions League opponents, and tomorrow it's the turn of the Europa League. In other soccer news, voting has been extended to midnight on Sunday for the annual Golden Foot award.

Looking forward to November, James Blunt is performing in the Salle des Etoiles, and dates of this year's Monte Carlo Jazz Festival have been confirmed. Even further ahead, the Television Festival returns in June 2015, and the Rusty Rex Banger Rally is set to pass through the Principality the following month.

As the season draws to a close, exhibitions and festivals are nearing their end. This weekend is your last chance to see Mickalene Thomas's work as part of Monaco Project for the Arts, as well as the photo exhibition of celebrities and stars in the Meridien Beach Plaza Lobby.

Finally, on Saturday Monte Carlo SBM is ending the summer with a free party in Casino Square, including music and dancing, and a DJ set with Boy George and Marc Vedo. After 1am, the entertainment moves into the Cafe de Paris Casino, and ends with a free breakfast for those who are still awake at 5am.
