The people's car (1)
Today we're celebrating the1944 liberation of Monaco. Although it's not a public holiday, the Principality still marks the occasion with a parade of military vehicles and a wreath laying ceremony in the cemetery. Not to mention parties this evening at Stars n Bars and Rascasse.
Columbus Hotel has appointed Bastien Anouil to the post of Directeur General. He's already spent four years at the Fontvieille establishment as Directeur Commercial and at 31 years old, he must be the youngest hotel DG in the Principality.
Also in Fontvieille, Modjo is adding healthy breakfasts and superfood desserts to its menu. The restaurant is working with Naomi's Kitchen, which has already devised similar dishes for Mozza and Beefbar.
On the Rock, one of our favourite restaurants, La Montgolfiere, has a new manager, whilst in Port Hercule, Before Monaco has introduced a new happy hour formula for the rentree. On Mondays to Saturdays, the bar is offering a buy-one-get-one-free deal for glass and bottle purchases, between 18:00 and 20:00.
Finally, if you still haven't been to the Grimaldi Forum's summer exhibition, get a move on! The Russian Avant Garde art expo closes this weekend.
