Rampoldi restaurant re-opens tomorrow. The Monaco institution has been closed for the past four years and is now completely renovated and under new management. There are plans to introduce a membership scheme for regulars, with dedicated dining tables and a space to enjoy an after-dinner cigar. Cocktails are available at the bar and the Mediterranean cuisine is prepared with fresh, local products.
The Hotel de Paris also welcomes a new face; Ivan Artolli has taken on the role of Directeur General. With 35 years in the industry, more than 15 of them with the Rocco Forte group, Artolli's task is to lead the iconic hotel through its renovation, in preparation for an inauguration in late 2018.
Beefbar and Plage 45 in Cannes have renewed their partnership (see 12 May newsletter). From Saturday until 31 August diners can order dishes devised by the Monaco restaurant and prepared by Plage 45's chef.
Finally, schools close tomorrow for summer. Teens can start the holidays with a splash at the Mairie's poolside party in the Stade Nautique.
