Ding, dong the bells are gonna chime (1)
No prizes for guessing what the big event is this weekend.
Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock tie the knot tomorrow and the Principality is full of royal and celebrity guests. Monegasques have been invited to the Palace, and if you're a resident, don't forget there's a reception for you at Port Hercule before the Jean Michel Jarre concert on Friday evening.
It's time to revisit several restaurants that have recently announced the arrival of new Chefs. Check out Michelin starred Philippe Jourdin at Cafe de Paris, Norman MacPherson at Riviera Marriott Hotel, and Xavier Burelle at the Columbus.
What's in the diary...
Thursday: Eagles perform music, Panda performs Kung Fu.
Friday: dine with Jean Michel Jarre, Knight party afterwards.
Saturday: bride's bouquet, garden party, collective jazz.
Sunday: recover with The Hangover or Midnight in Paris.
Tomorrow night Jean Michel Jarre promises to wow the crowds gathered to celebrate the Prince's wedding. The French composer is to perform a free music, light and laser show in Port Hercule. And if you want to make it even more special, several of the restaurants and bars lining the quayside are providing seats and special menus. For example, at Virage restaurant you can treat yourself to a delicious meal that starts with a glass of champagne and amuses bouches, followed by velvety asparagus soup, lobster, sea bass, and a rich chocolate dessert. At 80 euros, it's a menu fit for a prince.
