We finally reach August tomorrow and the height of the holiday season. If you're sticking around the Principality, make sure to phone ahead if you're dining at your favourite restaurant, as so many are now bursting with tourists.

What's new?

August also heralds special events and deals for visitors. The Grimaldi Forum is introducing Lovely Lundis, or marvellous Mondays if you prefer, at the ArtLovers exhibition, when the entry ticket is 5 euros, half the usual price. On the other side of town in the Fontvieille marquee, Circus Dinner Shows take place daily throughout the month, with family entertainment and food prepared by Fairmont Monte Carlo's catering service.

Looking ahead, we've received information about the annual Heritage Day, which is scheduled for October and this year takes a botanical theme. Later that month, the Principality''s version of the Ideal Home Exhibition, the Foire de Monaco, is being re-launched following a 3-year break. The Automobile Club also released information about the course for next year's Monte Carlo Rally.

Finally, today is the end of the story for English language bookstore BOMO, and owner Siri is inviting friends and supporters to join her in a final toast to great books.
