Oh what a day it was (1)
Are you ready for the rentree? What's new
Yes, the kids are back at school next week, so everyone's rushing around this weekend, making last minute purchases before getting to bed early in preparation for a busy Monday. If you've a spare hour or two, don't miss the opportunity of visiting four art exhibitions due to close in the next few days: Titouan Lamazou, Haut de Gamme, Double Deck, and Fashion Art. The Grimaldi Forum summer exhibition also ends on Sunday (see "What's in the diary").
The Theatre des Muses re-opened yesterday and is planning its autumn and winter schedule, whereas Monaco's movie theatre, the Sporting Cinema, closes its doors for good on Tuesday. American comedy drama Wish I Was Here is the final VO film, then we'll have to wait until 23 September, when Princess Grace Theatre temporarily takes over as a screening venue.
On the sports field, Monaco FC has been drawn in the same group as Lisbon, St Petersburg and Leverkusen for the 2014-15 UEFA Champions League. The Principality's handball team has been preparing for the new season too.
Finally, looking ahead to November, the Enfants de Frankie association is planning a children's gala evening.
