Prince Albert was busy last weekend opening the Cala del Forte port in Ventimiglia and the refurbished Larvotto Beach area.

Eating out

All the old favourites are returning to Lavotto, Neptune, Note Bleue, Miami, as well as Rose des Vents, which has a new name (Marco La Rose des Vents) and is in a more central location.

Nikki Beach on the roof of Fairmont Monte Carlo has invited 3-starred chef Christopher Coutanceau to prepare dinner on 12 July. The menu costs 200 euros pp (250 euros incl. champagne). Reserve a table from 21:00 at reservations.montecarlo[at]nikkibeach.com. A second date is planned with Glenn Viel on 17 August.

Japanese chef Toshimi Takiya is cooking two entrees live at 19:30 at Komo this evening. Afterwards diners will have a Mauro Colagreco signature dish and a choice of one of Pierre Herme's desserts, as well as a chance to speak to the chef. Komo plans to invite a different chef every Thursday throughout summer. Price 120 euros excl. drinks, +377 97 70 56 11 or Virtually Komo Monaco.

The Observateur de Monaco has an interview with Nobu's Wagner Spadacio, and a feature on three of Monaco's lower-priced restaurants: Societe Nautique, Club Bouliste, and U Luvassu.

Monaco Energy Boat Challenge started on Tuesday and continues until Saturday.

Grimaldi Forum's summer exhibition of Alberto Giacometti's work has opened and continues until end of August. The organizers are running children's workshops 12-23 July.
