What's new

Noise that shakes your bones, the smell of burning rubber, celebrities and wannabes round every corner. It can only mean one thing. Yes it's Monaco Grand Prix weekend and we've put together our annual at-a-glance party guide to help you make the most of the event. Check the diary below for our favourites.

On the quiet side of town, Columbus Hotel is hosting a pop-up version of Marcello restaurant. In addition to serving meals, Marcello is a food and wine store and the owners are hoping to introduce the concept to a new set of customers. During Grand Prix and up to 30 May visitors to the temporary restaurant can try the cuisine or sip a cocktail on the terrace overlooking the Princess Grace Rose Garden. For reservations email marcello[at]columbus.mc or phone +377 92 05 82 35.

Finally, for all those who are escaping the motor madness, have a fantastic, long weekend, and for those who are staying, party on!

(1) This week's quote is a catch phrase, uttered in the The Jazz Singer, the film that marked the death of silent cinema. It was spoken by Al Jolson, born this day 1886.
