Opening game against Reims
At last the the Ligue de Football Professionnel has announced the fixtures for French Ligue 1 2020-2021 season. We already knew the first weekend would be 23 August, and now we know the first match for AS Monaco will be played at home against Reims.
French champions Paris Saint-Germain visit Monaco 22 November and welcome the Principality's team 21 February 2021.
The first derby match against Nice is along the coast at the Allianz Riviera stadium 8 November, with the Aiglons visiting Stade Louis II on 3 February 2021.
The last match of the season is 23 May 2021, away to Lens who were promoted at the end of the 2019-2020 season.
As for spectators, there's as yet no announcement. Current French government regulations state a maximum of 5000 for large gatherings of people, but there's growing speculation that this may change to allow for greater crowds to attend the finals of the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue at the end of July.
Here's our listing of Monaco FC's home games. As usual, dates and kick-off times may change.
