Saturday, and Mr maBoum suggested taking the shopping trolley to Marche U to stock up on bottles of Spitfire. Alas, there was a queue stretching along the pavement, not as closely packed as the one I walked away from on Monday. But still, we turned around and came home.

20 March: Fermeture des acces au littoral, des jardins publics et des aires de jeux
Access to the coast is now prohibited at Monte Carlo Sporting Club, Meridien private beach, Larvotto bay, Portier bay, Port Hercule jetties and quaysides, Les Pecheurs beach, path and rocks, the Fontvieille jetties. Also, a twelfth person has tested positive for the virus.

A message from Prince Albert was read out in the National Council (parliament), explaining he had given the Government authority to take exceptional measures. He asked the Council to support these actions.

21 March: Jazz, funk et afrobeats
Rather oddly, the Observateur leads with a promotion for the Grimaldi Forum's monthly Thursday Live Session featuring a band called the Lehmanns Brothers. The gig was slated for 26 March, but obviously will not go ahead. Still, you can check out the band in the YouTube video below.
