Monaco's Roca team moves into Pro B league

Monaco's basketball fans can breathe a sigh of relief now that the Roca Team is finally taking its place in the Pro B League.
French Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB), the administrative body of the sport, refused Monaco's promotion in July, due to its registered office being outside France, citing advantages in terms of charges and taxes, and demanding 150,000 euros.
Club president Arnaud Giusti lodged an appeal against the decision and said he would disband the team rather than remain in division NM 1.
A one year agreement, details of which have not been revealed, was finally reached on 11th September and ratified by a general meeting of the LNB in Paris yesterday.
The club can now concentrate on the 2014-15 season, which starts on the first weekend of October, with 18 teams competing, two more than in previous years.
Monaco's first game on Saturday 4th October, is away to Boulazac. Home games (see below) are played in the Salle Gaston Medecin of Stade Louis II, and for a complete listing of home and away matches, visit the club website at: AS Monaco Basket fixtures.
