Monaco's sporting heritage

Discover private buildings and collections normally closed to the public.

The Principality is celebrating the 15th Journee Europeenne du Patrimoine this weekend with a sporting theme. On Saturday there are two trips being organized outside Monaco, in the morning to Cagnes sur Mer Hippodrome and in the afternoon a walk to La Turbie. But Sunday is the main day, when there are so many buildings open that the buses are free all day to make it easy for you to get around. Several places are hosting 15 minute concerts by the Fondation Prince Rainier III Academie de Musique et de Theatre, and there are guided tours, normally in French, although last year some were available in English. If you'd like to reserve a place on a tour, or if you'd like more information about Heritage Day, phone +377 98 98 83 03.

You can pick up a printed guide from the Tourist office or download an official program from the Heritage Days page on the Government website. We've put together our own maBoum guide below and will be tweeting events on the day as usual. You can also use our maps while you're on the move via our mobile interface to help you find the places you want to visit. Entrance is free unless specified.
