Faada Freddy is performing for Fete de la Musique on 21 June, however there aren't many free tickets available. Monegasques get first dibs, then residents.

Monte Carlo Opera has announced the schedule for 2021-22. Big name performers include Angela Gheorghiu, Placido Domingo, Bryn Terfel, and Cecilia Bartoli in Rossini's Il Turco in Italia.

Eating out

Justin Schmitt of Paris restaurant Laurent has quit and moved south. He's working on his family vegetable garden in Liguria and intends to open a restaurant in Monaco at the end of the year.

Metropole Hotel's Odyssey lounge bar/restauant opens today for the season. Dinner is served Thu-Mon from 19:30. +377 93 15 15 56.

Las Brisas is open for Sunday brunches, 12:30-15:30, 110 euros pp incl. Chateau Miraval rose wine. +377 98 06 03 60.

Travel restrictions to Italy have eased, and as long as your trip is less than 24 hours and under 60km from your residence, there's no need for a PCR test. So if you live in Monaco, treat yourself to lunch in San Remo, Dolceacqua or Seborga this weekend. Enjoy!
