What's new
There's been a further easing of lockdown rules this week. Restaurants are now providing tables for groups of up to ten, and there's no longer a requirement to reserve. The upper limit of ten also applies to people meeting outside.
Monte Carlo SBM's Buddha Bar opened on Tuesday and will be followed by Coya next Wednesday. Also operating since the beginning of the week are the Stade Nautique swimming pool in the port, and public libraries for borrowing items, but not for sitting quietly to work or read. Sadly, the Jardin Exotique will remain closed until January 2021 to allow work to be completed.
As for events, Bradley Mitton's Club Vivanova has been quick off the mark with a Japanese dinner at Nobu. Castelroc is hiring out its outdoor space to small sports clubs with nowhere to practise, such as yoga, or kendo. Some venues are continuing to organize virtual events, such as this morning's Maison de France commemoration of de Gaulle's 1940 Appel, and Rascasse's virtual Fete de la Musique party on Sunday.
If you're doing an end of lockdown clear out to make space in your wardrobe, Monaco Hebdo reports that Monaco's Red Cross is once again accepting donations of clothing, shoes and accessories, in good condition with no holes or stains. Take items to the office from 9:00-12:00 or 14:00-17:00.
And finally, the Open Air Cinema program is now available and we've listed the films on maBoum website's 7-day rolling guide. The diary links below are to the trailers. Enjoy!
What's in the diary ....
Thursday: Joker (2019).
Friday: Richard Jewell (2019).
Saturday: Coco (2017).
Sunday: Gladiator (2000).
Stay safe and enjoy your weekend.
