Dr Livingstone, I presume? (1)
Well done Monaco FC for making it through to the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League. In spite of losing to Arsenal on Tuesday evening, the Reds and Whites finished top of group C. They find out in tomorrow's draw, which team they'll be facing towards the end of April.
The Printemps des Arts music festival opens tomorrow with a performance of St John's Passion, the first of many concerts featuring music by Bach. This year's program also celebrates the music of Finnish composer Sibelius.
On Tuesday Monte Carlo SBM announced which artists are performing during the Sporting Summer Festival. Pop legends taking to the stage of the Salle des Etoiles during July and August include George Benson, Sting and Simple Minds.
Finally, we're hoping for a clear sky tomorrow morning in order to view the solar eclipse that starts at 9:00 and ends at midday. The maximum percentage of the sun will be obscured around 10:30, but please use specialist solar viewing spectacles or a pinhole viewer so as not to damage your eyes.

(1) This week's quote refers to Scottish missionary David Livingstone, born this day 1813. The greeting was uttered by H M Stanley on finding Livingstone, who had lost contact with the outside world whilst in Africa, and is probably a fabrication.
