Congratulations to two people this week. First, Andrey Rublev who won the Monte Carlo Tennis Masters last Sunday, and second to Georges Marsan who was reelected Mayor of Monaco on Tuesday.

So, what's in the calendar over the next few days? Tonight Awa Ly performs live in Grimaldi Forum's Espace Indigo. The French singer-songwriter has three albums under her belt and a smooth, soulful sound. If you prefer classical, Rossini's Barber of Seville is at the Opera House tonight, with a final performance on Saturday. Tomorrow Placido Domingo and Cecilia Bartoli perform a one-off concert with the OPMC. It's officially sold out, but you can register your name with the Casino box office for ticket returns.

There are just two VO movies carried over from last week: Dungeons & Dragons, and Super Mario Bros.

In sport, Monaco Roca plays two basketball matches: tonight a league game against Strasbourg, and on Saturday against Lyon in the Coupe de France. Also on Saturday the under-12s 7-a-side rugby competition Tournoi Sainte Devote takes place all day at Stade Louis II. Entry is free.

For the schmoozers Club Vivanova is chartering a yacht to Saint Tropez on Saturday for lunch and a party. On Monday you're cordially invited to celebrate St George's Day with the British Association at Caffe Milano. The price includes a 3-course meal, drinks, and a quiz on Shakespeare and saints.

Coming up next week is Ezio Greggio's Comedy Film Festival, Ballets de Monte Carlo's La Belle (Sleeping Beauty) at the Grimaldi Forum, the European Poker Tour, and a charity concert for Fondation Flavien.

Phew! After all that we'll need some sustenance. Perhaps a Spring Butterflies cocktail at the Metropole Hotel? Or what about some Lebanese food prepared by Em Sherif who's settling in for a second season at the Hotel de Paris?

And finally...

Whatever you get up to, enjoy your weekend!
