What's new

Last week we visited Gerhard's Cave, the wine bar and restaurant next door to Gerhard's Bar and owned by the same Herr Gerhard. Service is friendly and professional, and the menu has a choice of light snacks and main dishes, from which we chose the shrimps wok and salmon tataki, both tasty and filling. As you might imagine from a place that calls itself a "cave", there's an excellent choice of wines.

We had a great evening watching the yachts and motor boats returning to Fontvieille harbour, as the bright blue sky faded with the setting sun. Taking our time over a bottle of Condrieu, we missed the night bus, so walked back home, stopping for a cheeky digestif at Bodeguita. Well, it is the summer holiday season after all, and only a couple of weeks before the rentree. Enjoy!
