March 23rd Newsletter

The Beethoven of movie directors (1)

We're taking a couple of weeks off and the next newsletter after this will reach you on Thursday 13 April.

As for the news, Grand Prix season got off to a very disappointing start for Monaco's Charles Leclerc, what with a Ferrari that needs "a lot, really a lot" of work, and a penalty in Jeddah last weekend. Let's hope things improve in Australia on 2 April. If it's not already in your diary, Monaco Grand Prix is the weekend 25 to 28 May.

Grimaldi Forum's Thursday Live Sessions are returning this evening following a pause due to Covid. Entry is free, but reservations are recommended, especially if you want a table. Doors open at 6.30pm and the live music usually starts around 8.30pm. Check the concerts on facebook.

Monaco Women Forum takes place tomorrow at 2.30pm in One Monte-Carlo. The theme is "L’impact global et transversal de la numérisation et de la technologie dans la société" or, the impact of digitisation and technology on society. Entry is free but registration is required. Contact monacowomenforum@monaco.mc.

Also tomorrow at 7pm in Princess Grace Theatre there's an experimental theatre and musical performance by students of Monaco's Pavillon Bosio art school in collaboration with Nice Conservatory musicians. The show is called A Corps Perdus, and again, entry is free.

On Sunday the Chapelle des Carmes organ celebrates its 150th anniversary with a concert by Marie-France Heckmann. Entry is free and it starts at 7pm. Check the poster on facebook.

And finally...

Don't forget to put your clocks forward on Saturday night. We lose an hour but gain more daylight. Enjoy!
