What's new

Schools closed after classes yesterday evening for the Toussaint break, which means that Halloween is nearly upon us and very soon there'll be ghosties and ghoulies prowling the streets. Check back next week for Halloween events.

Watch out for the Monte Carlo eRally vehicles over the weekend. The trials take place in the mountains, but cars are expected in Monaco on Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and around lunchtime on Sunday.

Also this weekend the Salon du Vintage comes to Fontvieille. Organizers are advertising an exhibition of Karl Lagerfeld designs from the 1970s onwards, as well as vehicles and furniture. No doubt there'll also be boxes of vinyl records to browse through.

And finally, we get an extra hour in bed on Sunday morning as the clocks go back. Enjoy!

What's in the diary ....

Thursday: Dancing with Nijinsky.
Friday: 4-handed piano competition.
Saturday: Basketball match.
Sunday: Wagner, Strauss, Schonberg.

For lots more suggestions, visit maBoum's 7 day listing and enjoy your weekend.
