'Scuse me while I kiss the sky (1)A Happy Thanksgiving to all our American friends. Whether you're attending a traditional lunch or turkey dinner, we hope you have a great time.
Our diary this weekend is chock full of music, but there are a few entertaining alternatives. French speakers can take part in a literary discussion this afternoon, or visit the theatre for a French farce on Saturday, the day on which Monaco's basketball team face Poitiers. At the cinema, the French dubbed premier of Paddington reaches the Principality on Monday, but you'll have to wait a little longer to see Michael Bond's bear speak in his original English language. Until then, there's a choice of 5 VO movies on the program this week: drama, sci-fi, thriller, biography and romantic comedy.
Delicious, healthy food is on the menu at today's Clever Kitchen Asian inspired lunch workshop, and if you've got an intolerance to wheat, check out the gluten-free menu at Stars n Bars.
Finally, the Palace's auction of its collection of Napoleonic items was a success, netting 10 million euros, with the sale of Napoleon's hat sold for a record 1.884 million euros. A rather different auction is planned for January, this time of furniture, crockery and bath linen from the Hotel de Paris.
