What's new
Stars n Bars is helping to promote electric transport this weekend. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 20:00, members of the public can try out MonecoBike's electric bicycles free of charge at the restaurant's quayside terrace. For more information, visit MonecoBike's website.
Many of you will already have learned that Bistrot Bagatelle folded at the end of last week. The upmarket venue opened in Spring 2017 (see 11 May 2017 newsletter), and we visited it earlier this year on the recommendation of one of our readers. We found the service friendly and professional, and the food excellent, but there were more waiters than diners that day. An attempt to turn things around was made with the appointment of SBM's Maxime Bureau as general manager (see 12 April 2018 newsletter), but it seems not to have worked. What next for the venue?
