The kids are back at school and our diary is filling up with interesting events. Here are this week's headlines.
Eating & drinking
Mauro Colagreco continues to expand his business in Monaco. The 3-star chef is opening Mitron Bakery in Condamine market hall, Tue-Sun 7:30-13:30, phone 06 78 63 83 80.
Sport
Spare a thought for MonacoUSA member Merrily Lustig-Tornatore who's participating in the Tunnel to Towers 5K run/walk on Saturday in New York, commemorating the 9/11 disaster.
Monaco Classic Week started yesterday with lots of beautiful old boats coming and going in the bay and port. The Yacht Club has also organized an exhibition of early 20th-century posters, postcards, medals and trophies in the Yacht Club.
Art & culture
The Grimaldi Forum has announced its next three summer exhibitions. Christian Louboutin is showing off his shoes in 2022, but visual art makes a comeback in 2023 with Monet, and in 2024, Turner.
Covid
Last weekend's anti-health pass demo attracted between 750 and 1200 participants, depending on who was counting. Another two marches are planned: today at 15:30, and Saturday at 14:00. They'll take the same route as before, starting from Place des Moulins and ending at Place Ste Devote.
France has announced booster vaccines for the over-80s. No news yet for Monaco.
And finally...
If you fancy a day out Nice Beer Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday. Entry is free and beer costs 1.50 euros for 12.5cl, 3 euros for 25cl. Enjoy!
