Summer sailing camp 2013

Monaco Yacht Club's Seadventures for children and teens

From 8th July to 30th August, the Yacht Club de Monaco (YCM) is organizing weekly summer sailing camps, providing water based activities for children during school holidays. Classes are available for beginners and those who want to improve their skills, and for children in two age groups, from 7-11 and 12-17 years old. Use of boats, access to YCM's sports section and junior membership of the club for 2013 is included in the weekly registration price for both age groups.

7-11 years old

Younger children learn to sail in the Optimist dinghy, visit the Oceanographic Museum, and take part in kayaking and paddleboarding, with classes organized over half-days.

  • 9:30-12:00 and/or 14:40-17:00
  • 140 euros per week for 5 half-days
The cost includes life jackets and supervision.

12-17 years old

Teenagers' activities take place over the full day, using Laser Pico dinghies, kayaks, and paddleboards, and include diving and canyoning. There's also sailing aboard a catamaran, a quillard (J/24 one-design keelboat), visiting the Oceanographic Museum, and a weekly excursion.

  • The cost includes lunch at YCM for 5 days, all excursions and transport.
