Adrian Frazier is the author of a biography of Irish novelist George Moore, who carried a torch for steamship-line heiress Maud Cunard for nearly 40 years. Moore modelled more than one fictional heroine on Lady Cunard and also wrote about her in his autobiographies. One of these is The Lovers of Orelay, vaguely set along the Cote d'Azur and in a Provencal city. The talk discusses where Orelay may be, the character of the author and why Lady Cunard would have wished to be left out of Moore's memoirs.
