What's new

It's Easter this weekend, with egg hunts for kids and delicious food for adults. Sunday sees the reopening of Monte Carlo Beach's Le Deck buffet lunch, and in town Sensais restaurant has a special Easter menu for lunch and dinner. If you're looking for something with chocolate to show off, check out the Metropole Hotel's limited edition Easter egg which was created to mark yesterday's opening of the new spa by Givenchy. It has a base of dark Madagascan manjari chocolate as well as its own name, "Couture". To find out more, phone the hotel on +377 93 15 15 41.

Marcel Ravin of Monte Carlo Bay has moved on from writing recipe books and is now turning his hand to tableware design. The Michelin-starred chef joined forces with a potter to create four plates reflecting the colours of the sea around Martinique where he spent his childhood. You'll see the pieces if you dine at Blue Bay restaurant.

The tourists have already begun to arrive and we can expect a lot more with the start of Monte Carlo Rolex Tennis Masters on Saturday. Qualifying and first to third round matches take place throughout the week, with the big games happening next weekend.

Finally, enjoy your day off on Monday!
