Advance Australia Fair (1)

What's new

There are three days of celebration this weekend, starting today, when we wish all our Ozzie friends happy Australia Day. If you're up for partying there are at least two events: Club Vivanova is organizing a "members only" Australia Day and New Year party, and Monaco-Australia Association are inviting everyone to celebrate with them at Stars n Bars.

Tomorrow workers get a day off in Monaco to celebrate Ste Devote's Day. Festivities begin this evening with a procession along the quay to Ste Devote Church, where a symbolic boat is burned, followed by a fireworks display.

Finally, Saturday sees the official start of the Chinese Year of the Rooster. Song Qi restaurant is celebrating from today until 5 February with live performances by Chinese artist Ho Lui, a special lychee based Chinese Bellini, and new dishes on the menu. During the festivities all diners receive a raffle gift.
