Summer school session 5

A morning lecture and discussion by Tina Waldeier Bizzarro, followed by a collaborative workshop in the afternoon led by Susan Kelly Vonmedicus. Part of the American Ireland Fund Summer School on the History of Irish Book Illumination of the Golden Age.

• 11:00-12:00, The Book of Kells
• 13:30-16:30, the use of symbols of the four evangelists, students choose an evangelist to make an illumination using line drawings from the Book of Kells

The session is free of charge, however only 10 places are available, so reservation is necessary. No previous experience or artistic talent is necessary for the artistic workshops.
