From 20 to 25 July, a summer school focusing on the history of Irish book illumination of the 7th to 9th century, with daily lectures and workshops, led by Tina Waldeier Bizzarro and Susan vonMedicus.
Lectures, discussions and workshops for adults
Adult sessions take place Mon-Fri:
- 11:00-12:00, lectures
- 13:30-16:30, workshops
- free of charge
- 10 places only per session
- reservation necessary
Sessions
Each session focuses on an aspect of Irish manuscript illustration, and students create an artwork using traditional, authentic Irish materials and methods. No previous experience or artistic talent is necessary.20 Jul
