What's new

Hallelujah! We love a bit of Baroque music, and on Saturday Errol Girdlestone and the Ristretto Choir and Instrumental Ensemble are obliging us with some of the best. They'll be performing Handel's oratorio, The Messiah, at St Paul's Church.

Beforehand you could try the new Cafe Pierre Herme in the Metropole Shopping Centre on level 1. The French pastry chef is selling macarons, madeleines and tarts, special coffees, and also Mediterranean influenced savouries. You may remember that he also sells his cakes at Komo in Condamine (see 18 Apr 2019 newsletter).

Next day, liven things up at Buddha Bar, which is hosting one of its monthly brunches on 15 December. A set menu is served from 12:00-15:00, 50 euros excl. drinks, or 90 euros with free-flowing champagne. Later in the afternoon DJs pump up the music for a party atmosphere. Phone +377 98 06 19 19 for reservations.
